Kobieta zachwyciła swoim wykonaniem piosenki I dreamed a dream.Historia Susan nie należy do wesołych - kobieta jest w lekkim stopniu niepełnosprawna umysłowo, co znacznie utrudniało jej naukę i sprawiało, że była wyśmiewana w wiosce, z której pochodzi zarówno przez dzieci, jak i przez nauczycieli. Jak sama mówi, uratował ją śpiew, do którego talent odkryła w sobie w wieku pięciu lat.Kobieta jednogłośnie przeszła do następnego etapu show. Wiadomo też, że już zainteresowała się nią firma fonograficzna Sony BMG.
